Academy of Dance Team Shines at Regional Competitions

This year, the Academy of Dance Competition team performed at three regional competitions. The team earned multiple overall high scores, entertainment, and choreography awards for their dances. Located at 8 Lunar Drive in Woodbridge, the dance studio has been owned and operated by Teresa Gambardella since 1988. The studio offers courses in acrobatics/tumbling, ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, and hip hop.

The award winning competition team comprises select dancers between the ages of 6 and 18 who wish to perform, compete, and train at a more intense level. The annual Academy of Dance Showcase will take place on Saturday, May 31st, at West Haven High School at 6 pm. The dancers will perform compilations from Moana, Newsies, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Wicked, and Michael Jackson.
