Daily Bagel Opens to Big Appetites and Childhood Memories

Woodbridge officials and Amity Chamber of Commerce members join Daily Bagel owner Mike Vinca for a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony.

Daily Bagel, 176 Amity Road, Woodbridge, held its official grand opening and ribbon cutting today, followed by a fresh-from-the-oven bagel tasting buffet with a flavorful assortment of spreads.

The celebration was led by owner Mike Vinca and his family. Mica Cardozo, First Selectman of Woodbridge; Amity Chamber of Commerce CEO, Barry Lee Cohen; Scott Prud'homme, Amity Chamber Board of Directors; Clifford Lynch, Chairman of the Woodbridge Economic Development Commission, and; Bob Hill, Woodbridge Economic Development Commissioner joined in the festivities, along with Daily Bagel team members and customers that brought their appetites to sample warm bagels with a schmear throughout the day.

An Amity Chamber member, Daily Bagel offers over a dozen varieties of warm, fresh bagels alongside a wide selection of breakfast and lunch options. Menu highlights include everything from pastrami and cheese omelettes to Philly cheesesteaks, Caesar salads, and soups of the day. For those seeking a classic treat, Daily Bagel offers a wide selection of spreads, including traditional or flavored cream cheeses, avocado spread. Lox (smoked salmon) with red onions, capers, and tomatoes is also made fresh to order.

Vinca is a veteran restaurateur with over forty years of experience. He prepares the bagel dough every evening and begins baking at 4:00 AM.

Cohen said, "The toasty scent of bagels fresh out of the oven triggers childhood memories. It’s this aroma, this robust smell. Your mouth is watering when you walk in the door."

Cardozo said, "Daily Bagel is a wonderful addition to our expanding Woodbridge business district. Thank you, Mike, for bringing bagels, but more importantly, your personal warmth and well-received business to our community."

Daily Bagel is located at the former location of The UPS Store and is open Tuesday through Sunday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM (closed Mondays).
