Woodbridge's own Priscilla Sirichantho made headlines on Monday, capturing the coveted title at the New England Junior Tennis Championships. At just 14 years old, Priscilla impressively triumphed in the Girls' 18 & Under division, showcasing her exceptional talent at the region's most prestigious junior tennis tournament.

The four-day Junior Sectional event, held across multiple Massachusetts venues including Babson College and Brandeis University, brought together 256 of New England's brightest rising stars across four age divisions.

Priscilla entered the tournament as the No. 3 seed and had an absolutely dominant run to the finals. She won every match in straight sets, consistently limiting her opponents to no more than three games per set. In the championship match, she delivered a stellar performance, defeating two-time Sectional Champion Leah Zheng to claim her well-deserved trophy.

This is an opinion not necessarily endorsed by the Woodbridge Town News.
