A variety of non-perishable food and hygiene items, including cereal, pasta, and peanut butter, are displayed for a community food drive donation collection.

Scouts from Troop 41 are preparing for their 2026 annual Neighborhood Food Drive. This community-wide event aims to collect non-perishable food items to benefit the Town of Orange Food Bank and the New Haven Food Pantry.

Residents interested in participating can schedule a donation collection by visiting troop41.scouting4food.org or by calling 203-902-9500 to provide their address. Once a pickup is requested, donors are asked to leave their bags of non-perishable goods on their front doorstep or by their mailbox by 8:00 AM on Saturday, June 6.

Members of Troop 41 will circulate through the neighborhoods to collect the donations and deliver them directly to the local food banks. Suggested items for donation include peanut butter, jelly, pasta, canned meats, soups, cereals, and hygiene products like toothpaste and soap. Unopened, non-perishable items and supermarket gift cards are also accepted.

This initiative offers a direct way for the community to support local food security. For those interested in the scouting program itself, further information is available at troop41woodbridge.org.
