The Amity Board of Education would like to thank the support of the community for the successful passage of the 2024-2025 Amity Regional School District Budget. The final vote count across the three towns was 979 in favor and 407 against. Additionally, each town individually approved the budget.

On April 13, 168 University of Wisconsin-Madison Letters & Science undergraduates were inducted to the Phi Beta Kappa (ΦΒΚ) academic society, including Carly Silver of Woodbridge. UW-Madison's ΦΒΚ chapter, founded in 1899, seeks to honor students who rigorously explore the sciences


Many of us were deeply saddened by the passing of our beloved classmate and class president, Francis J. Erba (Fran). In his memory, a group of classmates is proposing the creation of the Francis J. Erba Scholarship Fund.


Beecher Road School is excited to announce the return of the popular Summer Enrichment Program (SEP). This year, due to construction on the BRS Campus, it will be hosted at the Amity Middle School in Bethany. Amity Regional School District #5, as per state guidelines, is properly disposing of student special education records. The records of any student who has received special services are maintained for six years after their class graduates.


On April 8, 2024, the Amity Board of Education held its District Public Budget Hearing. Superintendent Byars presented a brief overview of the 2024-2025 budget. Amy Burrell of Woodbridge, Connecticut, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Burrell was initiated at Sacred Heart University.


Connecticut author and storyteller Matthew Dicks will visit the Amity Regional High School library next week to present two master classes in the art of storytelling.
