Letter: Newton Road Unsafe for Pedestrians

To all who travel up or down Newton Road, I am issuing a cry for help . I am writing to ask all drivers to face the reality that Newton Road is more than a thoroughfare where drivers with big engines can test their mettle.  If drivers were to slow their vehicles down to the speed limits, they might notice all the pedestrians - residents and students - and nature they put at risk with their racecar behavior.  Please slow down.  Do you really want to wake up the next day and thereafter with someone you injured or killed haunting you?
